The British Pantry Ltd. is a British style bakery, grocery and gift shop with a full service restaurant called “Neville’s at The British Pantry.” In 2011 they will celebrate their 33rd anniversary in the same location, having expanded five times since opening in 1978. The business is owned and operated by the Redman family, (Fred, Mavis, Neville, Alvia and her son Graham) with the baking expertise of three generations. Mavis’s family, the Richardson’s were bakers in England, where she learned her craft working at her fathers side at their bakery in Swinton, near Manchester. Mavis’s son Neville and daughter Alvia have both worked in the business since it opened, learning the traditional baking skills required to carry on the family tradition of authentic British baking. Grandson Graham has been a great addtion since he started working 6 years ago.
